# Copying an Auction or Sold Farm to Make Edits

[Copying an Auction or Sold Farm to Make Edits](https://www.youtube.com/embed/ejc8zp8_1XQ)

Auctions and Sold Farms can be copied to your account and edited if necessary.

* **Use Case 1:** You attend an auction and are aware of the sales information and would like to use that as a comparable sale ahead of the sales data being published
* **Use Case 2:** A sale appears incorrectly in CamoAg. For example, two farms that sold together appear as separate sales, or a parcel was split in the sale but appears as a single sale. You can copy the sale, make the necessary edits and use the updated sale as a comparable sale.

### Copying the Sale

**Step 1**

Navigate to the Map and enable the **Farm Sales** layer

**Step 2**

Click on the auction or sale you want to copy, then click the **Open Farm Details** icon in the **Selected Farm Sale** panel

**Step 3**

In the upper right of the farm sale page, click **Options > Copy Sale to My Account**

**Step 4**

A green banner will confirm the farm sale was successfully copied and is viewable in the Farms dashboard. You can now edit the farm, the property and the sale price

> [!NOTE]
>
> *Note: If the property was sold in multiple tracts, continue clicking **Copy Sale to My Account** until you have as many copies of the sale as tracts sold. Rename each copy to help identify the tract it represents, such as Acme Auctioneers - Tract 1, Acme Auctioneers - Tract 2, etc.*

### Editing the Property

**Step 1**

On the copied sale, click the pencil icon below the map to edit the map. The **Farm Builder** panel will open on the **Define Farm Boundary** step

**Step 2**

To add a parcel that sold with this farm, click on the parcel on the map, then click **Add Parcel to Farm**. To remove a parcel, for example when splitting a sale into tracts, click the trash can icon next to the parcel in the Farm Builder panel

**Step 3**

If a parcel is highlighted with an acreage discrepancy, click on it. In the **Parcel Details** panel, choose how to resolve the mismatch: **Use as Drawn**, **Scale to Record** or **Allow acreage mismatch**, then click **Confirm**

**Step 4**

Click **Next**. On the **Create Fields** step, resolve any acreage discrepancy for the fields the same way, then click **Next**

**Step 5**

Review the **Edit Field Details** step and click **Next**, then click **Save Farm** on the **Review** step

**Step 6**

Refresh the page, then click **Options > View Farm Sale page**. The price per acre will be recalculated based on the updated acreage

### Editing the Sale Details

**Step 1**

On the copied sale, click **Options > Edit Farm Sale**

**Step 2**

Under **Sale Details**, update the **Status** if needed. For example, change the status from Draft to **Sold** for recently completed auctions

**Step 3**

Enter or edit the **Sold Price**, choosing whether the price is **\$ Per Acre** or **Total Value**, and the **Date Sold**. You have the option to enter additional information such as **Deed Information** and the **Buyer(s)** and **Seller(s)**, but are not required to do so

**Step 4**

Check the **Farm Sale Preview**, then click **Save Farm Sale**

**Step 5**

The sale will now appear on the map with a blue marker, indicating it is one of your organization's comps, and can be used as a comparable farm in a CMA
